Announcing Know your Natural Sweetness Event - white sugar :)
I take immense pleasure to host Jagruti's event for the Month of October under the Theme "Know your Natural Sweetness using White sugar !!" Thanks a bunch Jagruti for letting me to host this event :)) The theme of this event is "white Sugar" . It is perhaps the most modest member of the pantry around the globe.
When using sugar most people think of it only as a sweetener. But when sugar is used in baking its role becomes more complex as it also adds volume, tenderness, texture, color, and acts as a preservative.
When a recipe calls for creaming together the fat and sugar this is not simply a way of mixing these two ingredients together. The purpose of doing this step is to get air into the batter. The length of time you cream the butter with the sugar determines the amount of air incorporated into the batter.
Sugar also attracts moisture in the batter which reduces the amount of gluten formed in the flour.
Rules and details :-

1). Event runs from October 1st - 31st (EST). So entries within these dates will be acceptable.
2). Cook up any dish, which can be of any course. ie, Starter, snacks, sweets, desserts etc, that your heart desires, with 'WHITE SUGAR' being the star.The recipe can be from any country or any cuisine.
3). All the entries should be linked to this event announcement page and Jagrutis event announcement page. Both are mandatory.
4). You can cook Vegetarian / Non-vegetarian recipes depending on your choice. No Pork or beef ingredients please.

6). Looking for fresh entries and to try out new recipes. So, no archived or reposed entries please. Multiple entries are accepted. Please link your entries using the linky tools below
