Wheatflour Dosa | கோதுமை தோசை | Godhuma Dosa

Wheatflour Dosa is a simple, low-calorie and instant dosa recipe. This is a diabetic friendly recipe and doesn't need any fermenting like the regular dosas.  This is really a life-saver especially during the hustles of early morning breakfasts.

Check out my other dosa versions -  Mushroom Masala Roast, Cauliflower Dosa, Banana Dosa, Muttai(Egg) Dosa, Tomato Dosa, Crispy Dosa.

Ingredients :-
--------------------
 Wheatflour     1 cup
 Onion  1
 Green chillies      4
 Red Chillies    3
 Curry leaves    few
 Coriander leaves    few
 Oil  1 tsp
 Mustard    ¼ tsp
 Urad dal    ¾ tsp
 Channa dal  ¾ tsp
 Salt  to taste

Method :-
--------------
1).  Chop the onions, green chillies, red chillies, curry leaves and coriander leaves. Keep aside. Heat oil in a pan, add mustard, urad dal and channa dal. Saute till the dals turn brown. Then add the chopped onions, green chillies, coriander leaves, red chillies, curry leaves and salt till the onions turn translucent and switch off.
2). In a mixing bowl, add wheat flour, salt adding water little at a time. Mix well without any lumps to a medium thick dosa like batter. Then add the sauteed items to the batter and mix well.
3). Heat dosa pan, pour the batter and spread it in a circular motion. Drizzle a tsp of oil around the dosa and cook.  This dosa will take a little longer time to get cooked than regular dosa. Wait until the bottom starts browning.

4). Flip it upside down and let the other side cook as well. Fold and transfer to a plate.
Serve hot with spicy chutney. I served it with spicy Tomato Kuzhambu !

Notes :-
------------
# This dosa tastes good when it is served hot.
# To make crispy dosas, add 1/4 cup of rice flour to the batter. Make sure to make a thin batter.
# Green chillies can be substituted by pepper powder.
# Seasoning is optional, you can make simple dosa without the seasonings.
