விநாயகர் சதுர்த்தி (Vinayagar Chathurthi) also known as 'GaneshChaturthi' or 'Vinayaka Chavithi', is a spectacular Hindu festival that honors the birth of the beloved elephant-headed god. It is celebrated throughout India with a great enthusiasm and devotion. Lord Vinayaga popularly worshiped for his ability to remove obstacles and bring good fortune. The festival marks the birthday of Lord Ganesha - the Lord of knowledge, wisdom, prosperity and good fortune. This year 2018, Vinayagar Chathurthi falls on Thursday, September 13th.
