Pepper Chicken is spicy and delicious which can be prepared quickly. The caramelized onions lend a natural sweetness to this dish, and help tone down the heat from the black pepper.

Coriander powder | 1 tbsp |
Ginger garlic paste | 1 tsp |
Pepper | 2 tbsp |
Curry leaves | 1 sprig |
Coriander leaves - chopped | 1 tsp |
Cinnamon | 3 sticks |
Cardamom | 3 |
Cloves | 3 |
Bay-leaf | 1 |
Fennel Seeds | 1 tsp |
Salt | to taste |
Oil | 1 tsp |
Ginger garlic paste | 1 tsp |
Chilli powder | 1 tsp |
Turmeric powder | ¼ tsp |
Lemon Juice | 1 tbsp |
Salt | ¼ tsp |
Method :-

1). Cut chicken into medium(bite-size) pieces and wash thoroughly. Marinate the chicken with the ingredients lists under "To marinate" list for at-least 30 minutes . Crush the whole black pepper & keep it aside.
2). Heat Oil in the pan, add cinnamon, cardamom, cloves, bayleaf, fennel seeds, curry leaves and fry till aromatic. Then add onions, salt and saute till onions turns light brown. Add the ginger garlic paste and fry till the raw smell goes.
3). Add the chopped tomatoes and saute till it becomes mushy. Then add the coriander powder and mix well. Add 1/4 cup water and let the masala get cooked well till oil seperates.
4). Add the marinated chicken and mix well till the all spices coats well to chicken. Sprinkle little water and cook covered in medium flame until chicken gets cooked soft and tender.
5). Once the chicken pieces are cooked, add the freshly ground pepper powder and combine well. Switch off and garnish with coriander leaves.
Serve with Rice (Biryani / Pulao) varieties or Indian-Breads.
