Chicken Tikka is a popular, low-calorie & authentic Indian starter.  Juicy chunks of Chicken is marinated in masala, arranged on skewers and then grilled with veggies! Even kids will love this snack.. Check this veg-version Paneer Tikka

I am posting the oven method now. If you are looking for other methods (grill/ stove-top), check this recipe -> Paneer-Tikka.. I have posted all three methods..

Ingredients :-
-----------------
 Chicken   300 grams
 Bell peppers / Capsicum     Multicolor
 Butter / Oil (for brushing)  1 - 2 tbsp

For the Marinade :-
 Ginger garlic paste   1 tsp
 Turmeric powder   ¼ tsp
 Pepper powder   ½ tsp
 Chilli powder  1 tsp
 Chat masala   ½ tsp
 Garam masala ½ tsp
 Lemon Juice  1 tsp
 Curd ½ cup
 Salt  to taste

Method :-
--------------
1). Chop chicken into bite-size pieces & dice the capsicum. Prepare the marinade with all the ingredients mentioned under "for the marinade" in a big bowl.
2). Apply the marinade to Chicken in a bowl and veggies in a separate bowl. Make sure chicken and veggies are coated well. Cover and keep the marinated Chicken and veggies in the refrigerator for 2 hours or more.
3). Skewer the veggies and chicken alternately on skewers or tooth picks. Shake off any excess marinade.
4). Pre-heat the oven at 450 degrees F. Arrange the chicken-skewers on a baking tray. Brush with oil and keep in the oven for 10 minutes. After 10 minutes, turn the sides and brush with oil and again grill it for 10 minutes for even cooking. Finally, broil for 3-5 minutes.

Remove onto a plate and squeeze some lemon juice over the paneer skewers and serve with onion slices & lemon wedges.
Notes :-
----------
# Marinate for at-least 2 hours or overnight in the fridge. Better the marination, more flavor gets infused in the chicken & veggies.

# Soak wooden or bamboo skewers in water for half an hour or so before putting them on the grill/oven. It prevents the wood from burning once it meets the hot grill.

# Leftover marinade can be used for preparing Chicken-Tikka Masala (Gravy). I will soon post the recipe..
